I am a Senior Lecturer in International Relations at the University of Glasgow's School of Social and Political Sciences. Formerly, I was an associate professor in the Department of Political Science at the University of Houston. I received my Ph.D. in political science from Rutgers University. My research focuses on international relations, the political economy of conflict processes, and debt politics and can be found in the Journal of Politics, the British Journal of Political Science, the Journal of Conflict Resolution, the Journal of Peace Research,                        International Studies Quarterly, Economics & Politics, and the Conversation, among other                              outlets.
